La Garrotxa

The Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park is the largest volcanic landscape of the peninsula and one of the most prominent in Europe.

This natural gem consists of 38 volcanic cones with breathtaking scenic attractions.

The mountains, the soil and climate give a varied and lush vegetation, great value and almost 65% of the territory is occupied by thick forests of oak, beech or oak, beech and famous in Jordan.

Volcanoes are the most popular and iconic Santa Margarida and Croscat Montsacopa. The latter is the largest volcano in the Iberian Peninsula and also the youngest, with 1500 years.

The area offers thirty long and short distance routes, most well signposted. There we can find the old route of the train, turned a greenway that Olot in Girona and Sant Feliu.
